Young people will be able to swim for free this summer as Wiltshire Council's pledge to fund free swimming during school holidays continues.
More than 250 pupils at a local school have been so determined to do well in this year’s Olympic-themed Big Pledge – Road to Rio, they have been going the extra mile – literally. This year the Wiltshire Council-run challenge has taken people on a virtual journey to Rio.

Try the Wiltshire Council App for reporting things like potholes, dog mess, graffiti, litter and street lighting using your mobile phone or tablet. Available for Apple, Android and Windows devices. The app allows you to attach information such as photos or videos and send the location of your report using the mapping software on your phone or tablet.

I really enjoyed my recent visit to the Devizes Area Board meeting on 21st July. I met with Cllr. Laura Mayes Cabinet Member for Children's Services and Cllr. Philip Whitehead Cabinet Member for Highways.
The CCG and Devizes GP's have a plan to deliver an Urgent Care Centre in Devizes that will manage same day minor injury and illness. The service will be available from 8am to 8pm in a new building on Marshall Road, next to the NHS Treatment Centre. The Conservative led Devizes Area Board pledged to deliver this for Devizes, and with the unstinting support of our MP Claire Perry we are proud to have helped to make this service available in our area.
