My Involvement

As a Conservative City Councillor and, with your help, in 2017 your Wiltshire Councillor, I want to make things better.

I sometimes feel that our best interests are not always a priority at Trowbridge. You can be assured I will always put the best interests of my residents first.

I was career soldier and am currently privileged to be the Mayor of this wonderful City. I will utilise the knowledge and experience I have gained to represent you and the City to the very best of my ability at Trowbridge.

Your Involvement

I can do so much and act as focal point for local issues, but I can’t be everywhere all at once which is why I would ask you to be involved. What have you noticed which you think could be improved or needs reporting. Please share your ideas and tell me what can be done to make Salisbury better.

Making Parks Better

We have some of the best parks anywhere and our challenge is to make them even better.

We have improved Queen Elizabeth Gardens and more recently Victoria Park. Next on the list is Churchill Gardens which is quickly becoming the City’s ‘sports park’ with the revamped BMX/skate park, multi user games area and a Parkour. Also there is hugely successful ‘Parkrun’ event held every Saturday starting at 9am. It’s free, fun and open to everyone no matter your personal fitness level.

Keep Salisbury Clean and Tidy

You will be aware from the local press and media that the City Council has negotiated with Wiltshire Council to take responsibility for street sweeping and cleaning amongst package of assets and services being transferred.

Our City thrives on tourism and visitors should leave the City saying “Brilliant, what a beautiful place, we will come again.”

Making Salisbury's Roads Safe

I am working with Wiltshire Council to get a safe and sensible solution to the accident black spot created by the road layout at the Aldi Supermarket Site.

I am particularly concerned about the safety of our children who are particularly vulnerable as they try to cross the London Road and the uneven surface is a potential hazard to cyclists and motorists alike.

A safety audit has been carried out and the results are being monitored. Until improvements are made I would ask everyone to take enormous care in this area and would welcome your input and observations.
