My main responsibilities are:
- Chairman of the Operational Flood Working Group (S)
- Wiltshire Council representative on the Wessex Regional Flood and Coastal Committee working closely with the Environment Agency. I have been a member for the last 13 years
- A member of the Amesbury Area Board
- Staffing Policy Committee
- Audit Committee
- Porton Down Liaison Group
General background and experience
I have worked in the Agriculture Dairy Industry for 51 years managing small and at the time the largest in the country. This was to become the first computerized her in the world.
I have been a Councillor since 1998 serving on Salisbury District Council and re-elected as a Unitary Councillor .
My values
Supporting elderly and vulnerable people .
I believe that appropriate houses should be built in villages to allow them to thrive in the modern world.
As Chairman of the Flood Group to alleviate flooding of homes and businesses through grants and advice
Council work
As a member of the Planning Committee and working with Town and Parish Councils have managed to achieve appropriate developments large and small which are affordable to local residents
Community work
I am very involved with Farleys Malone Community which is partly supported financially by the Amesbury Area Board and local businesses.
I endeavour to attend all Parish Council meetings to hear local residents views and help where possible.
Personal and family background
I have been married for almost 50 years. We have 2 children and also have 5 grandchildren now entering Colleges and Universities .
