About Tony
Thank you for electing me to be your Wiltshire Councillor for Warminster Broadway! I look forward to representing you over the course of the next four years...
My values
I have lived in Wiltshire for over 30 years and in Warminster for the past 20 years. I am a champion for integrating the serving military community with wider Wiltshire institutions. I value the local Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty but understand the need for local services to meet the needs of our aspirational younger citizens.
General background and experience
I work as a self-employed logistics consultant mainly in the humanitarian sector, currently as a Humanitarian Representative for Army exercises. Now gratefully elected to represent Warminster Broadway, I have been appointed to Wiltshire Council’s Staff Policy, Audit and Environment Select Committees. I am also appointed to the Warminster Area Board where I will champion the interests of Warminster.
My experience at work and in the community has given me wide experience in committee management and consensus building. I appreciate being part of a team delivering results.
Community work
- Warminster Athenaeum Management Committee Fundraising Member since 2003. Trustee since 2014.
- Warminster Hospital Friends Management Committee since 2015.
- Wiltshire Wildlife Trust volunteer at Smallbrook Nature Reserve and Sarsen Trail team organiser since 1999.
- Coordinating Warminster’s Heritage Open Day in 2017.
Personal and family background
I am married with adult children and one grandchild. I enjoy country sports, racquet sports, bird watching and bridge.
Other information
I have lived in Victoria Road since 1997 and am familiar with Broadway issues. There is a need to ensure that planned development is undertaken sensitively with minimal disruption to existing residents. I will also campaign to ensure that developers and Wiltshire Council make strong service provision for schools, roads and flood mitigation.
I have a strong sense of duty and will represent Warminster Broadway residents in their very best interests.
Help and advice
I will always attend Area Board Meetings and will be available immediately before or after the meeting for personal meetings. The next Board meetings are:
- 29th June 7pm Warminster Civic Centre
- 7th September 7 pm Location TBC
I am also available for individual meetings, normally at Warminster Civic Centre, by appointment.
